Since this is my first entry, I should introduce myself to you all! I am writing this blog as part of a class at Kaplan University. I am studying for my AA degree in Medical Transcription with a secondary for Medical Billing & Coding. This is my 5th term and have continued to get a 4.0 so far through my 4 terms, WHICH I am very proud of I might add! I was a B student at best way back when in high school, some 20 years ago, so to now maintain a 4.0 is a huge achievement for me.
I plan on working from home, once I graduate, since I suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis. I was diagnosed about 10 years ago with RA and have since developed depression, vertigo, and a host of other ailments, all inter-related to the RA. Life is a challenge on a daily basis as anyone with a chronic disease can tell you. You never know when you wake up in the morning what your pain level will be that day and what you will or won't be able to accomplish. You may have to rearrange your life to fit what your body needs. It takes lots of patience, which you don't always have, to realize you can't do everything you used to be able to do. It took me until about 3 years ago to face the fact that I can't always take care of the household chores and I need help to do things I took for granted.
I have loved music all my life, and still enjoy going on road trips! When I can, that is! Between school, lack of money, and other things, lately those trips have been few and far between. If you continue to follow these blogs, I am sure you will hear about my musicians I travel to see and the exploits of my trips!
